Overview of SAML in PAS for OpenEdge

Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is widely used by enterprises to implement Single Sign-On in their business applications. Progress Application Server for OpenEdge (PAS for OpenEdge) supports SAML 2.0, enabling you to configure a PAS for OpenEdge web application as a SAML service provider. Once configured, the PAS for OpenEdge web application provides access to a resource only after receiving and validating a SAML assertion issued by a trusted SAML authority to denote an authenticated user.
