The government's ban on red beacons atop VVIPs' vehicles came into effect on Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said in his monthly radio address - Mann Ki Baat - that 'VIP culture' should be replaced with "EPI", meaning "Every Person is Important".
