How to Install Compile and Run java programs in windows 7 | RTT

Step 1

Install the latest version of jdk.

Step 2

After install jdk open cmd and type "javac" and press enter.

If you get this error lines "'javac' is not recognized as an internal or external command, then you will need to set up the Environment Variables for java .

Step 3: Set up the Environment Variables in Windows

To do this go to your start menu and type Environment Variables and press enter.
Once you do this another window will open now you need to add a new entry for your java files.

Click on new and new and anther small window will open enter the name path and put the values

C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0\bin\ and then click on OK.
